The newspaper article that started it all--I was profiled in the Los Angeles Times on November 6, 1977, and it garnered attention. I had been working for years as a teacher, refining my methods of teaching drawing and had written a book based on my doctoral research at UCLA. Publisher Jeremy Tarcher saw the article and eventually published the book, Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain.
